Joanne Gere
Co-Chair, Westchester Biotech Project - BioPharma Research Initiatives

Joanne Gere came to the BioPharma Research Council (BRC) in 2013, and is leading BioPharma Research Initiatives (BRI), a sister organization launched as a 501 (c) 3 in 2017.

She has worked with volunteer committees, boards, speakers, and sponsors to grow the BRC into the premier association for scientists, engineers, and IT professionals across all the many silos of biomedical research. At present the international community includes more than 10,000, representing industry, academic, nonprofit, government, and supplier labs and their teams.

In 2016 the BRC presented symposia on cybersecurity for connected devices, point of care diagnostics, the microbiome, and data analytics. The Regional Pharma Manufacturing Expo is the association’s first foray into this end of the pool, and the energies of all who are participating are much appreciated.

Ms. Gere has a diverse history, working with entrepreneurs in the life sciences, supporting technologies, and publishing. Her experience reflects the biopharma industry’s changing landscape and the increasing awareness that collaborations and partnerships are essential for medical progress
